If your refrigerator currently uses the GE XWFE with the electronic chip, you must continue using XWFE. The SpiroPure SP-GSXW does not contain a electronic chip and is only a quality compatible replacement for XWF.
The genuine OEM GE XWFE Refrigerator Filter fits select GE French Door and Side-by-Side refrigerators manufactured after June 2018. XWFE will work with any refrigerator that currently uses GE’s XWF or XWFE filters.
